About Us
What is New Horizons Service Dogs, Inc.
New Horizons was founded by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our headquarters are located in Orange City, FL, which is 25 minutes north of Orlando. New Horizons partners trained dogs with the disabled in Florida, mostly in the area of wheelchair and mobility assistance. We have puppy raisers throughout Florida and in other states as well. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and we are an accredited member of Assistance Dogs International since 1994.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple:
- Provide quality, trained service dogs to people with disabilities;
- Educate the public and raise awareness regarding the needs and concerns of persons with disabilities;
- Provide on-going support to the recipient to assure a successful working partnership.
